Patrick & Colin Married
Organic and Playful Wedding Day
On a blue sky day in Wellington, Florida, Patrick & Colin married surrounded by their family and friends. The couple carefully selected organic and masculine details for their special day. Colin's profession as a landscape architect could be seen in the lush greenery he hand selected for the day. I can't wait to share the unique touches added by the grooms and their friends to showcase their personalities. This same sex wedding day sets the bar high - talk about #weddinggoals!
The grooms were married by a dear friend who wrote a very personal ceremony. "Inclusion" was the word of the day. All of their friends and loved ones were touched by the importance of this day for Patrick & Colin.
The grooms' boutonnieres were carefully designed by Nature's Bouquet with the detailed eye of Colin. White calla lily and green accents popped beautifully on the black and navy tuxedos.
Patrick and Colin highlighted their tuxedos with custom cufflinks. Each wore a cufflink bearing each other's initials and their first date and wedding date engraved. Their wedding rings featured inlayed stones representing a compass rose. Colin explained that he wanted Patrick to know that "no matter where he goes, I will always love him." *I just melted...*
Guests moved upstairs for dinner after the ceremony and a short cocktail reception on the patio at Suri West. They were greeted by a table filled with nametags. Each nametag included a special nickname assigned by Patrick & Colin to serve as a conversation starter with new friends.
After picking up your nametag, you can snap a selfie with life-size "faux" Patrick & Colin.
Nature's Bouquet designed centerpieces with tall tapered candles combined with a mason jar filled with grassy florals sitting on top of a wood slice. The organic theme carried throughout.
Patrick wanted cupcakes that looked like succulents. Johnson's Custom Cakes answered the call! Not only did they create the stunning cupcakes, they also topped the cupcake tier with an anniversary cake and designed this beautiful marble bowl filled with succulents for their cutting cake. Stunningly beautiful and delicious too!
After their wedding day, Patrick told me he was so thankful to have an amazing photographer, Shea Christine, to document their wedding day. Patrick & Colin love remembering each moment through these photos. Patrick's advice to future couples: "Invest in a good photographer - it's worth it!"
In addition to professional photos, the couple had a photo booth at the reception to capture fun moments with friends! At the end of the night, Patrick & Colin took home a scrapbook complete with all of the photo strips and messages from their guests.
The Grand Exit
Patrick & Colin ended the night in style with a grand exit complete with palm fronds and glowsticks!
Congratulations Patrick & Colin! It was such a pleasure to help plan, craft and be a part of your wedding day. Many years of happiness in your life together.
